The OPPO F17 Pro is yet another impressive smartphone from the company, and it comes equipped with a number of impressive features. Additionally, the 30W VOOC Charging technology included into its 4015mAh battery extends the smartphone’s total use time.
Oppo’s latest smartphone, the F17 Pro, is another featherweight marvel. With a thickness of only 7.48mm and a weight of just 164g, this device is exceptionally pleasant to use for extended sessions of gaming or messaging. The Oppo F17 Pro has a 6.43-inch full HD+ Super AMOLED display up front that can be as bright as 800 nits.
Oppo touts the six cameras on the F17 Pro as “AI portrait cameras,” however they are just regular cameras. The main Samsung GM1 sensor takes 12-megapixel binned photos in daytime.
Low-light photos weren’t terrible, but details were noticeably fuzzy when seen with a higher magnification. Even the darkest parts, like the sky, had a little roughness. The Oppo F17 Pro supports recording in resolutions up to 4K, although these movies are not stabilised.
In my experience, performance has been satisfactory. The Oppo F17 Pro seemed quick and responsive in regular use, whether I was launching an app or navigating the Android interface. The Oppo F17 Pro is powered by a MediaTek Helio P95 SoC and has 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB of UFS 2.1 storage in a single configuration. In tests, the 4,015 mAh battery lasted for almost 48 hours with moderate to light use.
